Ringworm is a fungal infection that can cause hair loss (when it’s on your head!) When it first starts, ringworm will look like a small blemish (pimple) on your head. It eventually grows and leaves spots of patchy baldness. The areas affected by ringworm can look red, feel irritated, become scaly and turn into blisters and ooze. While the center might look normal, the outside of the infected area will be redder.
