Q: Who can use hair thickening shampoo?
A: Anyone can use it. Just check each product to make sure it doesn’t contain anything you’re allergic to! Some contain nut oils or wheat. And many contain shellfish (just kidding about the shellfish)! But seriously, if you have wheat allergies be careful!
Q: What is hair thickening shampoo?
A: Hair thickening shampoo is shampoo that uses vitamins and proteins to thicken hair. Pro-vitamins B help thicken hair. Wheat proteins and silk proteins help fortify hair and increase hair strength. We’ve provided you with links to reputable sites to get more information about each specific product and read reviews (if they have them).
Q: Does it work?
A: These products increase the health of the hair you do have and add a protective layer of vitamins and proteins that make it appear thicker. If you are thinning or losing your hair and want the appearance of thicker hair, it’s great. Just know that when you stop using the shampoo, it will stop appearing thicker! It’s not a hair loss treatment. Products that contain biotin (like the ones below) are vitamins for your hair. The best part is that they’re actually not expensive!
Q: Why is there a special section for “women’s shampoos?”
A: As with any hair product, most women don’t want to buy the musky or “male” scented products designed for men. The products below are unisex and have gender-neutral smells. Men-only products tend to have a musky scent women don’t want to smell on themselves. We did the job of sifting through the myriad of products and chose women-friendly products so you don’t have to.
Q: Why should I buy them online?
A: Same as for most hair loss products!
1.) Price. It’s usually cheaper online, even with shipping.
2.) Selection. Many drugstores, pharmacies and Wal-Marts aren’t going to have the product that’s right for you. Sure, they might have hair thickening shampoo, but is it the one you picked out? Is it going to be in stock when you get there? Do you have the time to call around? Online also has cheaper versions of salon-expensive products.
3.) Privacy: I don’t know about you, but I really don’t want the local checkout girl knowing I’m worried about my thin hair so much that I’m buying thickening sprays.

(I will try and find where to get them cheap online and put links, but in the meanwhile you can try your grocery store, drug store OR just Google them. Be sure to do a price comparison and include shipping as well!)
